Dairy Princess Application

A dairy princess is chosen to represent officially and publicly the number one agricultural industry in New York State. She holds her title for one year, and her responsibilities cover a wide range of public relations activities.

A dairy princess will be selected on the basis of speaking ability, knowledge of the dairy industry, poise and personality. The judges will be looking for an individual who can best represent their county's dairy industry and dairy farmers in local promotions to consumers.

Serving as a dairy princess is a rewarding role that can be fun, but carries with it an obligation to perform at all times to the best of one's ability. To be a winner in any competition, you must have the desire to win. To have this desire means hard work and dedication. It also means having the ability to accept constructive criticism and the willingness to strive to improve at all times.

The way a dairy princess handles herself before the public is as important as the industry and product she represents.
